Why Quintus Exists
Quintus wasn’t created in a boardroom.
Quintus was built from more than 15 years of underwriting experience and a belief that the insurance market can serve brokers, customers and capacity providers better.
Too often, brokers struggle to reach empowered underwriters, specialist risks are forced through rigid processes, and insurer partners receive limited insight into how portfolios are developing.
Quintus was created to provide a better model: experienced underwriters, specialist products, modern technology and disciplined governance working together.
The objective is not to remove people from underwriting. It is to give good underwriters better tools, better information and more time to make sound decisions.

Thomas founded Quintus after more than 15 years working across underwriting, product development, portfolio management and delegated authority business.
He created Quintus to build the type of underwriting business he believed the market needed: one where brokers can speak directly to knowledgeable decision-makers, insurer partners receive meaningful portfolio insight and technology removes friction without removing accountability.
His philosophy is straightforward: understand the risk, make clear decisions, treat brokers fairly and build portfolios that remain sustainable over the long term.
